We sang the opening concert of the 2026 Llandaff Festival on 30th June 2026.
The concert started with William Mathias's jubilant Let the People Praise Thee, followed by the world premieres of Hiraeth by Ben Heneghan and Iain James Veitch, and Chorale for the Valleys by Ben Heneghan. The concert concluded with one of the major British choral works of the twentieth century - William Walton's dramatic cantata Belshazzar's Feast.
We are now in our summer break but rehearsals for our Autumn Concert - when we will sing Dvorak Te Deum and Haydn HarmonieMesse with Cardiff Chamber Orchestra - will start on September 7th.
Our rehearsals and workshops are open to potential new members. We are keen to recruit tenors and basses, but currently have a waiting list for sopranos and altos. To arrange to attend, please contact our secretary via secretary.llandaffccs@gmail.com
Our rehearsal venue is Canton Uniting Church in Cowbridge Road East, CF5 1LQ.
CUC is on the corner of Cowbridge Road East and Theobald Road, next to the Co-op Supermarket.
All potential new members will need to have an audition before being accepted as a full member.
